Upper Mustang Trek

Mustang is also known as forbidden kingdom within the democratic republic of Nepal. It lies in the Northern central part of Nepal and on the top of Kali Gandaki River with its diversified Tibetan cultural influences where polyandry still practices and dead soul has different meaning here. This land said to be barren as a dead deer, where you would want to say worth it after hardship of trek. The trek to Lo-Manthang is through high altitude desert country climbing in and out of the huge sided valley of the Kali Gandaki gorge which the Kali Gandaki River runs through is the deepest in the world. This region is full of some of Nepal oldest Buddhist Monasteries, ancient and isolated villages with quaint white washed houses. The king of Lo Monthang still retains his title and he has been given the honorary rank of Colonel in the Nepal army. It allows limited visitors every year to keep and conserve the tradition and fragile environment intact.

The trek to Mustang during the Tiji festival would add as a three days long ritual known as the chasing of Demons; the most important festival in the region. The monk with fancy dress and perform mask dances do rituals to drive away evil spirits.

This is the suggested itinerary which can be changed or modified as per your requirements:

Day 01: Receive you at the airport and escort to the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley consist of 3 olden separated kingdoms, you will have tour around
Day 03: Kathmandu -> Pokhara (30 minutes flight or 6 hours drive as your prefer)
Day 04: Pokhara -> Jomsom (18 minutes flight) and trek -> Kagbeni (2810m)
Day 05: Kagbeni -> Chele (3100m)
Day 06: Chele ->  Geling (3570m)
Day 07: Geling -> Charang (3560m)
Day 08: Charang->  Lo-Manthang (3840m)
Day 09: Trip around Lo-Manthang (you can stay here for extra day if you like to)
Day 10: Lo Manthang ->  Drakmar (3820m)
Day 11: Drakmar ->  Shyangmochen
Day 12: Shyangmochen ->  Chhuksang
Day 13: Chhuksang- > Kagbeni
Day 14: Kagbeni -> Jomsom.
Day 15: Jomsom-> Pokhara.
Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu or Fly.
Day 17: You conclude your trip here.

*Your food and drinks (eg. Beer or whisky drinks) in Kathmandu and other places, and during trek other than mentioned, *Your Travel Insurance which is what you have from back home *Tourist Entry Visa upon arrival in Kathmandu airport, *matter related your enjoyment, Tips to waiter, alcohol, laundry, and of course your shopping , Expenses occurred due to natural disaster, protest, flight delay, and things out of our hand. We do our best to get out of the situation but we will not take responsibility of financial loss, destruction and theft.  Rent charge of trekking equipment (two men tent, dining tent, kitchen tent, Table with chairs, kitchen utensils, Down sleeping bag / Jackets, walking sticks, and other necessary equipment during the trek).

We opt not to  put price tag on any of our itineraries  because some of you would want to stay less than 3 star hotels or some more than, some would want to prolong their journey connecting to Jungle safari to white water rafting and stay few days in Kathmandu or some of you want shorten their trip.
