Langtang Ganja La pass Trek

This Trek starts from Sybru Bensi after reaching there by road from Kathmandu and ends at Melamchi Pul Bazar. It is only possible by organized camping. The use of firewood is also prohibited within the park, so all supplies should be taken with us. During the 13 days trek, you will meet Tibetan origin people and other ethnic diversity. From Sybru Bensi, you will follow the Langtang river to the east until you get to Kyanching Gompa (3,049.). Some 5 km to the south of Kyanching Gompa are the peaks of Naya Kanga (5,846m) and, to the south east, Ponggen Dopku (5,930m). Kyanching Gompa is surrounded by Mt Langtang Lirung (7245m ) on the west, Yala peak on the north , Dorje Lakpa(6966m), Urkeinmang(6387m), Loenpo Gang (6979) and Kangchenpo on the north-east. In Kyanjing Gompa there are a small Buddhist monastery and a cheese factory started in 1955 by the Swiss Association for Technical Assistance. When you are crossing the pass there are spectacular views of Langtang Lirung and the Tibetan peaks beyond. Much of this route is spent above 3,000m (10,000ft) .The highest point of this trek is Ganjala Pass (5,122m ). On the very pass of Ganjala , the last few 100m trail is precarious so we use a rope there for safety, though the utmost care is enough.  

Suggested itinerary:

Day 01: Received you at the Kathmandu airport and escort to the hotel
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and nearby
Day 03: Kathmandu - > Syabrubesi (1460m), drive 10 hrs
Day 04: Syabrubesi - > Lama hotel (2340m), 6 hrs
Day 05: Lama hotel - > Langtang (3370m), 6 hrs
Day 06: Langtang - > Kyanging Gomba (3800m), 3 hrs
Day 07: Kyanging ->  Rest day, explore the surroundings
Day 08: Trek to Ngegang (4000meters) 5 hours.
Day 09: Kyanging -> Keldang (4300meters) via Ganja La (5200meters) 6 hours.
Day 10: Keldang->  Dukpu (4080meters) 6.30 hours.
Day 11: Dukpu -> Tarkeghyang (2560meters) 5.30 hours.
Day 12: Tarkeghyang -> Shermathang (2621meters) 5.30 hours.
Day 13: Shermathang -> Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846meters). 5 hours.
Day 14:  Melamchi Pul Bazaar -> Kathmandu. Drive 4 hours.

Beer or whisky drinks) in Kathmandu and other places, and during trek other than mentioned, *Your Travel Insurance which is what you have from back home *Tourist Entry Visa upon arrival in Kathmandu airport, *matter related your enjoyment, Tips to waiter, alcohol, laundry, and of course your shopping, Expenses occurred due to natural disaster, protest, flight delay, and things out of our hand. We do our best to get out of the situation but we will not take responsibility of financial loss, destruction and theft.  Rent charge of trekking equipment (two men tent, dining tent, kitchen tent, Table with chairs, kitchen utensils, Down sleeping bag / Jackets, walking sticks, and other necessary equipment during the trek).


**Note: We are happy to offer a complementary to the group leader with above 10 people. We opt not to  put price tag on any of our itineraries  because some of you would want to stay less than 3 star hotels or some more than, some would want to prolong their journey connecting to Jungle safari to white water rafting and stay few days in Kathmandu or some of you want shorten their trip.
