Yoga the word derived from YOGI (Hindu Monk) and meditation are unique gift to the world from Hinduism. People seek this course for various different reasons as they strengthen your body and mind providing mental peace and physical power, help you fight disease and cleanse your body and soul, rejuvenate the energy that makes you feel very much alive, live longer and healthier. Despite its amazing growth in popularity, many serious practitioners of the ancient art of yoga see it as nothing more than a series of powerful physical exercises designed to give one a perfect body.
Yoga has been explained by different people in different way, but all definitions lead to us to the path of enhancing our self-esteem and cleanse our soul. Swami Vivekananda has explained it as: To the worker, it is union between men and the whole of humanity; to the mystic, between his lower and Higher Self; to the lover, union between himself and the God of love; and to the philosopher, it is union of all existence. This is what is meant by Yoga. It is a systematic process of spiritual unfolding. The path of yoga teaches us how to integrate and heal our personal existence, as well as harmonize our individual consciousness with God. Devotional meditation upon God is at the very heart of any good yoga practice. For this reason, yoga has often been called meditation in motion. An ideal human being, according to Hinduism, is one who has all the elements of philosophy, mysticism, emotion, and work present in him in equal proportions. To become harmoniously balanced in all these four directions is the ideal of Hinduism, and this is attained by what is known as Yoga or union.

Note: People usually take about 10-14 days courses living in the dormitory with provided meals by the organizers. One can volunteer to help them sorting out some work while undergoing yoga and meditation classes.
